Surface treatments are necessary for cleaning the bars and preparing the profile for the following steps of manufacturing. SIPA applies specific solutions based on the steel type and process needs in order to achieve clean, smooth surfaces that are ready for use in the following steps.

The main surface treatments used in SIPA are:

• mechanical pickling (shot blasting)

• chemical pickling

• lubrication
